Fatima MohsinFatima is co-managing the project with Saman. She was first inspired to work in the international development sector after a summer internship with HOPE while she was studying Political Science at UC Berkeley. She moved to Karachi in 2009 to get field experience and traveled across Pakistan helping conduct disaster response efforts after floods devastated 20 percent of the country. As part of the rehabilitation activities, Fatima designed and implemented a shelter reconstruction project that went on to build 75 houses for families that lost their homes during the floods in Thatta, Sindh. During her time in Pakistan, Fatima also helped launch the Express Tribune Newspaper as part of their editorial team. She is currently back in the United States and remains active in public affairs through her work with HOPE USA. |

Saman NizamiSaman is co-managing the project to help ensure Karachi's vulnerable children receive primary education. During her time working with HOPE in Pakistan, Saman worked closely with Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla (Chairperson of HOPE Pakistan) and Fatima on post-disaster rehabilitation projects in Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH), malnutrition, and shelter restoration in rural Sindh for the victims of the disastrous floods that struck Pakistan in 2010. Saman graduated from UC San Diego with B.A. degrees in Economics and History, and is currently working at an international development consulting firm based in Washington D.C. on USAID funded development projects in Asia. She also actively volunteers for a venture philanthropy organization, Association for the Development of Pakistan, where she helps manage project proposal evaluations from Pakistan-based NGOs for funding. Rabia AslamRabia coordinates with HOPE in Pakistan to monitor sponsored students, ensure their needs are being addressed, and provide feedback to donors. In 2010, Rabia interned at HOPE where she worked in UNICEF's Nutritional Support Program for flood victims in IDP (Internally Displaced Person) camps in Pakistan's Sindh province, where one-fourth of children under 5 are malnourished. After meeting the students and staff of HOPE's schools in Karachi and Thatta, she was inspired to help its efforts to educate children living in Karachi's slums and rural areas in Sindh. Rabia graduated from UC Berkeley with a B.A. in Public Health and is currently working at the Hesperian Foundation, a non-profit publisher of material for community based healthcare, to provide resources for health workers in Pakistan. Sohail HussainSohail is the Research and Administrative Officer at HOPE in Pakistan and has extensive project management and field experience. He is implementing this project in Pakistan, in addition to managing project documentation and field visits of monitoring teams for HOPE's health and education projects. He oversaw HOPE's informal school system in in remote areas of interior Sindh, Azaad Jammu Kashmir (Muzaffarabad) and North Western Frontier Province to ensure children were receiving quality education. During times of disaster, he managed emergency relief activities including ration distributions and medical camps in flood and earthquake affected areas of Pakistan. Sohail has also been involved in HOPE's research projects such as its hand-washing study in collaboration with the Center of Disease Control (CDC) in Atlanta. In addition, he has been instrumental in HOPE's event coordination and fundraising activities. |

Hamza KhanHamza recently returned to Pakistan after a few years in the States, where he was completing his MBA at UC Berkeley. While he has always been passionate about having a positive impact on the larger community, he is more keen than ever before to make that difference now. He manages HOPE’s social media marketing efforts, and is also planning on setting up a food camp with his friends in Lahore. In addition to volunteering with HOPE, Hamza manages marketing for Partners In Time Interiors, his family’s interior design business, and will soon start work as a consultant with McKinsey & Co. |

Sana AgboatwalaSana is passionate about photography and caters to HOPE's photography needs for projects and marketing. She holds a bachelors degree with a focus in Economics from Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) and has experience working in corporate banking. |
