HOPE On-Ground Team Ends 2023 ๐ and Kicks off ๐ 2024 in Kashmir ๐๏ธ & KPK ๐:
3,000+ Underserved Women ๐ง๐ปand Children ๐ง๐ป Receive Food ๐ฅ, Medical Aid ๐ฉบ, Winter Gear ๐งฅ, School Supplies ๐, Blankets
Dear HOPE Friends,
The On-Ground HOPE Team wrapped up 2023 with a fruitful trip to oversee our Health ๐ฅ, Education ๐ซ, and Vocational Training ๐งตfacilities in the Northern Areas of Pakistan ๐ต๐ฐ, namely Azad Kashmir ๐๏ธ and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa ๐.
Over 3,000 Underserved Women ๐ง๐ป and Children ๐ง๐ป Received Biryani ๐ฅ, Warm Clothing ๐งฅ, Blankets ๐๐ป , Medical Aid ๐ฉบ, Vocational Training ๐งต, and Participated in Community-Building Exercises such as School Ceremonies ๐.
This trip was quite extensive in nature and covered a wide geographical scope ๐ which encompasses our recently-expanded network to serve the poor.
Currently, HOPE's Framework for Poverty Alleviation in the Northern Areas ๐๏ธof Pakistan ๐ต๐ฐ Includes:
๐ถ 35 Home Schools ๐serving 2,000 Students ๐ฉ๐ปโ๐, 80% of whom are underprivileged girls
๐ถ 5 Maternal ๐ง๐ป& Child ๐ง๐ป Health Centers ๐ฅ (all equipped to handle births) which serve a total of 90,000 Villagers ๐ annually
๐ถ 2 Vocational Training Centers (set up within MCHC grounds) which provide income-generating skills ๐งตto 500 Women annually
The HOPE Team met with and interacted ๐ค๐ผwith thousands of members of the communities from Mansehra, KPK to Azad Kashmir ๐๏ธ.
๐ถ Children ๐ง๐ป performed for the community on stage, were gifted new backpacks ๐ and school supplies ๐, and received accolades ๐ for their accomplishments.
๐ถ Warm winter gear ๐งฅ, food ๐ฅ, and blankets ๐๐ป were distributed to villagers ๐.
๐ถ Young adults in our Vocational Centers were lauded ๐๐ผ for their hard work ๐งถ and the skills they had acquired.
Our new Medical Facilities ๐ฅin KPK ๐which are sponsored by Yusuf Foundation (Garhi Habibullah and Mansehra) were visited by Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla, along with our Azad Kashmir ๐๏ธ MCHC (sponsored by Darul Sadaqa and private donors). During this visit particularly, the HOPE Team witnessed firsthand the positive impact ๐ these facilities are having upon the surrounding communities, and especially the life-saving โ๏ธ role they have taken on:
๐ถ These communities were in such dire need of access to affordable and quality medical care that these MCHCs are becoming larger than life and taking on an even greater role to the communities than we ever anticipated.
๐ถ The mere presence of a medical facility in these areas has given hope to thousands of villagers who could not access healthcare due to cost and/or distance.
๐ถ In this visit, we equipped all MCHCs with infant warmers and ultrasound machines to meet the needs of villagers.
๐ถ With funding, we are also seeking to furnish each with incubators to handle complex cases.
Overall, we are thrilled to report that due to the generosity ๐นof our supporters and organizations such as Yusuf Foundation and Darul Sadaqa786, we are seeing precious lives saved in our medical clinics ๐ฅ and children flourishing in our schools ๐ซ. This trip proved to be so eventful in nature that we will be featuring a couple of stories in the near future about the tangible impact that has been through the generosity of our donors ๐.
Warm Regards,
The HOPE USA ๐บ๐ธ, HOPE UK ๐ฌ๐ง, and HOPE Pakistan ๐ต๐ฐ Teams
