Dear HOPE Friends,
In the last two weeks, as Pakistan flood waters finally began the long-awaited process of recession (six-months post floods), the HOPE USA team kicked off house reconstruction for flood affectee families. This is life-changing Zakat-eligible effort in which the families will own their new homes.
We are still accepting donations for this cause - each house is $1,500 and you can donate towards a full or partial house (whatever you can afford) and create a Sadaqa Jaariyah for yourselves and your families.
Our homes are located in heavily damaged districts in Sindh: Larkana, Shikarpur, and Sujawal. We have spent extensive time evaluating the needs of the flood affectee families - all of them are living well-below the poverty line and are either widows with young children, disabled/handicapped, orphans, and other dire situations.
