As the blessed month of Ramadan approaches us, the HOPE Team would like to share with you our plans to uplift the poor during the month itself along with our staple year-round Zakat-eligible poverty alleviation programs:

🔶Special Zakat-Eligible Ramadan 🕌 Campaigns:

Food Rations 🍱: Just $33 to provide a family of 8 with dry food rations to last a month.

Door-to-Door Iftar 🍛: Just $1/person provides a hand delivered meal to a person in need

🔶 Year-Round Zakat-Eligible Poverty Alleviation Causes:

Healthcare 🩺 for the Poor:

🔷 Purchase medicine 💊 for a needy person: $3

🔷 Sponsor prenatal visits for 3 needy mothers 🤰🏻 at one of our Hospitals/MCHCs 🏥: $10

🔷 Support the cost of two ultrasounds for an expectant mother 🤰🏻: $20

🔷 Pay for fetal heartbeat 🫀monitoring and lab tests 🧪 for a disadvantaged mother 👩🏻‍🍼: $25

🔷 Provide a blood transfusion 🩸 for a needy mother 🤰🏻 experiencing labor complications: $50

🔷 Sponsor phototherapy for a jaundiced newborn 👶🏻 at one of our Hospitals/MCHCs 🏥: $75

🔷 Sponsor a normal delivery 🐥 at one of our Hospitals/MCHCs: $100

🔷 Sponsor a life-saving surgery 🚑 for a needy person: $150

🔷 Sponsor a cesarean birth 🐣 for a needy mother 🤰🏻at one of our Hospitals 🏥: $200

Education 🎓 for Underprivileged Children 👩🏻‍🎓:

🔶 Support the purchase of stationary 📝 for one child 🧒🏻 for one year: $6

🔶 Support examination fees 🎓 for one child 🧒🏻 for one year: $10

🔶 Provide two uniforms 👔 and one pair of shoes 👟to a child 🧒🏻 in one of our Formal Schools 🏫: $20

🔶 Sponsor one month of school supplies ✂️ : $25

🔶 Purchase textbooks 📚for one child 🧒🏻 for one year: $30

🔶 Sponsor the salary of a Home School teacher 👩🏻‍🏫 for one month: $60

🔶 Give the gift of a year of education to an underprivileged child 👩🏻‍🎓: $100

Vocational Training 💻 for Poor Communities:

🔷 Sponsor the cost of vocational training materials 🪡: $10

🔷 Support the salary of a vocational training teacher 👩🏻‍🏫 for one month: $60

🔷 Sponsor income-generating vocational training in computers 💻 or sewing/embroidery 🧵 for a young adult for one year: $175

Clean Water 💧for Underserved Communities (Please note: this is a Sadaqa effort and not Zakat-Eligible):

🔶 Establish a hand pump 🚰 for villagers in remote and rural areas 🛖: $2,000

🔶 Hand pumps 🚰 include an inscription/dedication 🪧 in English/Urdu/Arabic

🔶 Construction is on a first-come, first-served basis and averages 8 to 10 months 📆 for completion

🔶 Hand pumps 🚰 are a Sadaqa Jaariyah (perpetual charity) project

Food Security 🍱 for Needy Communities:

🔷 Sponsor food rations 🍱 for a family of 8 for one month 📆: $33

🔷 Provide a meal 🍛to an impoverished person: $1

Ramadan ☪️ Outreach for Needy Communities:

🔶 Sponsor a meal 🍛 for a needy person via our Door-to-Door Iftars: $1

🔶 Sponsor Food Rations 🍱 for a family of 8 for one month: $33

🔶 Gift Eid clothes to a needy child: 🎁: $17

Qurbani 🕋 for Underserved Communities:

🔷 Provide 1 share of cow 🐄 to feed 14 needy person: $130 (rates may vary)

🔷 Sponsor the Qurbani of a goat 🐐for 20 people: $230 (rates may vary)

🔷 Sponsor the Qurbani of a full cow 🐄 (7 shares) for 100 needy people: $900 (rates may vary)

🔷 Eid ul Adha gifts 🎁: any amount

Disaster Relief 🆘 for Displaced Communities:

🔶 Provide a displaced family of 4 with cooked food 🍛: $4

🔶 Sponsor food rations 🍱for a family of 8 for one month: $33

🔶 Provide healthcare treatment 🧪 and medication 💊 to a needy person: $10

🔶 Provide a needy person with new clothing 👕: $10

🔶 Provide blankets/bedding 🛏️ to a family: $10

🔶 Purchase mosquito 🦟 netting for a family: $10

🔶 Provide a displaced family with basic new housing 🏚️: $1,800
