Sit-Down Iftar Held 🍽️ for 400 Underprivileged Children 🧒🏻 in HOPE's Zia Colony, Karachi Formal School 🏫 - Celebrating 25 Years of Zia Colony Formal School 🏫

On March 3, 2026, 400 students 👩🏻‍🎓 from HOPE's Zia Colony Formal School 🏫 participated in a Sit-down Iftar 🍽️ with their classmates and teachers. The students enjoyed breaking their fast in a community setting and sharing the special moments of Ramadan ☪️ with one another. The children were served biryani 🥘, egg rolls , samosas, bananas 🍌, and dates, and a special drink 🍵 to break their fasts and gathered together for the Maghrib prayer 🤲🏼. All in all it was an evening full of camaraderie and bonding ✨.

Every year HOPE aims to make Ramadan ☪️ memorable for thousands of underserved children and families across Pakistan 🇵🇰. From Door-to-Door Iftars 🥘, Food Rations 🍱, Eid Clothes 👘, and Sit-down Iftars 🍽️, we endeavor to celebrate the spirit of charity ❤️‍🩹 by amplifying our efforts during this month.

HOPE’s Formal School 🏫 in Zia Colony began humbly with only 60 students studying up to fifth grade. Classes were held in four classrooms adjacent to the HOPE Zia Colony Hospital 🏥. In 2002, the Embassy of Japan 🇯🇵 generously sponsored construction 🧱 of a new school building which supported students up to high school levels. Today, 800 students are enrolled in HOPE’s Zia Colony school. Most of these students 👩🏻‍🎓 come from extremely poor backgrounds; tuition and books 📚 are free of charge, or a nominal amount is taken from those who can afford it. The curriculum at Zia Colony is well-rounded and students participate in sports 🏏, art competitions 🎨, and field trips 🌞. Students are passing their high school board exams with flying colors.

     🔹 Eid Clothes 👘 for Children 🧒🏻: Just $17/Child for a New Eid Outfit
