Dear HOPE Friends,
Target Hosts Mentorship ๐ซ Workshop for HOPE's Zia Colony Students ๐ง๐ป
Last week, Target Corporation volunteers participated in a mentorship ๐ซ workshop for students ๐ฉ๐ปโ๐ of HOPE's Zia Colony School ๐ซ. Target has been a long-standing corporate supporter of HOPE, particularly in the avenue of promoting educational ๐opportunities for underserved students ๐ฉ๐ปโ๐.
On August 3, 2024, a classroom of eager students ๐ฉ๐ปโ๐ thoroughly enjoyed a day of interacting with Target volunteers. Activities included story-telling ๐, working on puzzles ๐งฉ together, and conversations about future aspirations โจ and career goals ๐ฉ๐ปโ๐ฌ. The children felt connected, uplifted and motivated โจ following this kind gestureโฃ๏ธ by initiated by Target.
Over the course of 25 years, HOPE has employed a multi-pronged approach towards poverty alleviation which includes Healthcare ๐ฉบ, Education ๐, Vocational Training ๐ป, Clean Water ๐ฆ, Disaster Relief โ๏ธ, Ramadan Activities โช๏ธ, and Qurbani ๐. Within these frameworks, we have also made it a priority to interweave mental well-being ๐ projects into our services to those less fortunate โค๏ธโ๐ฉน. We actively encourage and promote various measures which instill a sense of security for our beneficiaries, and especially vulnerable children ๐ง๐ป.
We would like to take this opportunity to extend our appreciation๐น and gratitude ๐ to Target volunteers for their dedication to creating lasting memories for underprivileged children ๐ง๐ป who attend Zia Colony School ๐ซ. Zia Colony is an extremely poor district within Karachi ๐, Pakistan ๐ต๐ฐ. HOPE's Zia Colony School ๐ซ was established in 2002 through the generosity of the Embassy of Japan ๐ฏ๐ต. It currently serves as the educational ๐ hub for 800 disadvantaged students ๐ฉ๐ปโ๐.
Many thanks ๐ to Target for their gracious support throughout the years and to their volunteers for going the extra mile to ignite a lasting impact!
