HOPE Sponsors Sit-down Iftar for Karachi Urban Slum Home School Students

Writer: Ambereen SiddiquiAmbereen Siddiqui

Dear HOPE Supporters,

HOPE USA sponsored a Sit-down Iftar for home school children in Mujahid Colony and Sachal Goth. A total of 200 children and 50 adults were served via Sadaqa funds. These community iftars are a critical component of our poverty-alleviation methods in that they instill a sense of belonging and worthiness to our beneficiaries. Self-esteem is an often overlooked element of the mental health of individuals who live in poverty - oftentimes we are focused on providing a needy person with food, health, education, etc., but helping someone feel like a deserving human being is priceless.

To support events such as these, visit our website and select "Sit-down Iftar" from the dropdown menu:

JazakumAllahu Khairan to all our supporters for their regular contributions which make projects such as these possible.

Best regards,

Ambereen Siddiqui Director - HOPE USA
